Denial was formed when Steve moved into the dorms when I was stationed at Spangdahlem AB, Germany. I had my drumset in my dorm room and would practice from 6 PM till 9 PM...taking advantage of the base quiet hours policy. Me and Steve finally met and jammed on a few covers and a couple of Steve's originals and decided that we should find a bass player and a singer and make this thing happen. Enter Mark. Mark was the bass player for another base band...I forget the name of the band, but they were pretty good. Mark was a perfect fit with us. We tried out several singers, but never found one we liked so Steve and Mark sang. We had a second guitarist on 3 occasions, but they both left Germany before Steve and I did. Mark eventually left for the states also...he had been stationed in Germany at least a year before I got there. He was replaced by Doug. All the audio files on the media files page were performed by Steve and I. The drumkit in the top picture is my original gig kit. I added an 18" Meinl Velvet crash about two days later. I had a buddy who's father was a drummer. He let me use some of his cymbals for gigs. I added a set of Roto-Toms and a couple of splashes later. Check out the Drum Evolution page for pics of this kit and my current kit.
