4 Better or 4 Worse - This is the first song I wrote and recorded in my Project Studio.  There are mistakes and stuff, but this was more of a test run anyway, to learn the software.  The song is in 2 parts, mellow first half, heavy second half.  2 rhythm, 1 effect and 1 lead guitars, bass, and drums in the first half...2 rhythm guitar, 1 lead guitar, bass and drums for the heavy section.

The Hunted - Has a couple of time signature changes, but nothing too drastic.  2 rhythm guitars, 1 lead, bass and drums.

Fallen Hero - This is a medium tempo in a sextuplet based 4/4.  Double bass throughout.  The intro/outro clean parts I thought were pretty cool.  I have noticed that since I am writing instrumentals that I have a tendency to have my two rhythm guitars playing completely different riffs while the bass plays between them.  And I need to have someone else play leads LOL.

Lonely Joke - The official time signature is 2/4 at 90 bpm, but it's probably not, but that's how I felt this one.  Kind of a bouncy, jotting kinda tune, but still with my characteristic darkish edge.

Solitude - Pretty much as close to a ballad as I'll probably ever get.  Start with a lone acoustic that continues through out.  Total of 5 guitar tracks: the two distortion guitars are mainly filler, one "recurring theme" part, one lead, and the clean.

Shallow Grave - It took me awhile to put this one together, mainly due to the harmony leads (they could use a little tightening up here and there).  Starts off with a little clean and lead, then breaks into kind of a Groove Metal thing then picks up towards the end.  This has some poetential.  I put it up there with Fallen Hero (seems to be a favorite among my friends).

Rundown - This also took awhile to get done.  Couldn't think of a decent lead, but whatcha gonna do?  This actually has my acoustic drumset!!  I recorded the main tracks before I moved the studio into the garage.  I thought I'd give recording my "real" kit a shot.  It was a lot harder than I originally thought.  I really need to redo the drums, but the kit is currently setup in the garage of the singer of my new band.

Distanced - I joined a band, so it's back to recording with the Hart Dynamics electronic kit.  This song was a lot of fun to write, and it's probably my favorite so far.  After I finished recording the drums, my wife came runnin into the garage to tell me how much she liked it (a first, LOL).  The song was meant for vocals (the second (fast) half at least), so ignore the lead guitar stuff...it just sounds empty without the vocals...I guess I need to learn how to sing, too.

Time Lord - The first song written using the new bass (Peavey Cirrus BXP), the new guitar (Peavey Limited ST), and new pickups in the Jackson DKMG (EMG 81/85).   I used the acoustic drum kit on this one, also.  The song is in 6/8.  The two rhythm guitars alternate between "filler" and "main rhythm" parts.

MIDI-XTC - This is the first song I wrote on keys...full MIDI.  It started out being a 20 sec clip for my Producing Music with Cubase course I was taking online through Berklee, but turned into a full deal.  I think it came out pretty good, considering I'm not a keyboard player ;)

The Last Goodbye- This song was written for my BerkleeOnline course "Producing Music with Cubase".  The first song I've mixed MIDI with audio (the keys were played, not programmed, by me, although there was some editing).

Sky Dancer - Really crappy name, but so are most of the others...This was based on a riff I've been playing around with for a couple of years and finally figured out something to go around it.
