Chapter XI is the band that I joined based in Germantown, MD...a good
30 - 45 minutes from where I live. I actually found them while looking
for musician referral websites. They were listed on an obscure site
that I just happened to find about 3 months after I got here.
Fortunately the ad had a link to the band's website where I was able to
check them out. To their surprise, I emailed them and set-up an
audition with them. They (WE) are primarily an original Heavy not
quite Nu-Metal band. We used all of our
various influences, ranging from Led-Zep to Jam bands to a
conglomeration of progressive and heavy metal with a splash of punk to
create a solid, driven sound. Both guitarists work well to complement
each other.
Dying Day is a
Chapter XI reunion of sorts. After I left Chapter XI, I joined a
"college rock" band called Carpet of Stars (COS).
I left COS and got an email from Scott who wanted to do a reunion show
or something for Chapter XI. Chris, Mike and I were all for
getting together again to write, but we wanted to go somewhere else
vocally. So we decided to work out of my newly built
project studio.
Go to the Audio section for guess what??....that's right:
